Advisory Approach
My clients rely on a pragmatic advisory approach that avoids over-lawyering, meaning it does not involve remote hypothetical risk scenarios and legal concerns without practical relevance. Rather than extending negotiations by pursuing maximal positions and “nice-to-haves”, I see my role as identifying the essential objectives — the “must haves” — for my clients and to drive the process efficiently toward a business agreement or a resolution of the dispute.
To deliver solutions for my clients in challenging, often multicultural negotiation settings under tight deadlines, I must not only master my own discipline but also understand my clients’ business in depth. A solid grasp of my clients’ products, markets, and business processes are therefore essential to providing efficient, solution-oriented advice.
From my many years as in-house counsel in the industrial sector, I know how crucial it is to have reliable legal support available, quickly and uncomplicated —precisely when it's needed. Accordingly, I offer flexible “on-demand” legal support models, tailored to the needs of my clients and designed to integrate seamlessly into their organizations. This applies not only in times of capacity bottlenecks, when internal resources are unavailable due to the lack of a legal department or an overstretched team, but also for bridging planned vacancies, supporting projects, and managing peak workloads. If you are interested in such an individual solution, I would be pleased to discuss it with you.
I prefer a digital working style and short communication channels via email, phone, and video conference. I am, of course, also available for in-person meetings by appointment. My billing is based on the time spent, using my hourly rate and detailed time records.
Open and trustworthy communication with my clients, along with mutual transparency regarding the objectives, expectations, and costs of my engagement, are in my view essential to providing high-quality legal advice.
