Professional Liability Insurance:
Professional liability insurance coverage for legal practice is provided by ERGO Versicherung AG, Victoriaplatz 1, 40477 Düsseldorf (www.ergo.de). The geographical scope of the insurance cover includes Germany and other European countries, and it covers professional liability claims arising from activities related to advising on and dealing with European law, as well as from acting as a lawyer before European courts.
Out of Court Dispute Resolution:
In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, it is possible, upon request, to seek out-of-court dispute resolution at the respective regional bar association (in accordance with Section 73 (2) No. 3 in conjunction with Section 73 (5) BRAO) or at the Conciliation Board of the Bar (Section 191 f BRAO) at the German Federal Bar Association (www.schlichtungsstelle-der-rechtsanwaltschaft.de). I do not participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
